Publication standards

What we promise, and what we never claim.

These standards apply to every release we write and every page we publish, including the ones our agency partners resell.

Newspapers on a printing press

1. How we describe placements

Your release is distributed through newswire networks and published on news websites, usually in their press-release, business-news or partner-content sections. That is publication, not independent editorial coverage. We use the words “published on” and never imply that a journalist or outlet chose, reviewed or endorsed your story.

When we say “NBC, CBS and ABC affiliate sites”, we mean websites run by local TV stations affiliated with those networks. We do not claim placement on the national networks’ own sites or broadcasts.

2. How we verify

  • We check every placement we report when it goes live, and record its address, date and status.
  • We archive a copy of each placement so your proof survives later website changes.
  • We check every link again at 30 and 90 days. If a reported link goes down in that window, we republish or replace it at no cost.
  • We report audience figures only as the combined monthly audience of the outlets, as reported by our partners, and say so wherever they appear.

3. How we write

  • We draft with AI assistance, and an editor reviews every release before you see it.
  • Every fact is traced to your brief, your website or a public record.
  • Quotes come from the person quoted, or are written with them and approved by them.
  • We remove unverifiable superlatives such as “best”, “leading” or “#1” unless you can show the evidence.
  • Nothing is published without your written approval.

4. What we will not publish

Adult content; weapons; gambling; cryptocurrency or token offerings; political campaigns or advocacy; medical, health or supplement claims that are not substantiated; regulated investment or lending products; content that targets or defames a person or company; and anything misleading or unlawful. Our distribution partners also review each release and may decline it. If a release is declined before publication, we refund you.

5. How we badge

Our badges say “Published on” and link to your proof page. We do not supply network or outlet logos for you to display as endorsements, and we ask our customers not to describe placements as features or coverage.

6. How we price

The prices on our site are the prices we charge. We don’t use invented “regular” prices, permanent discounts or countdown timers.

7. What we don’t promise

We don’t promise search rankings, AI recommendations, traffic, leads, sales or social media verification. Publication can support all of these. It guarantees none of them.
